Banking - a cruel hoax

This short video explains how and by whom money is created, and why it is all bound to end in tears.

Creed for our Times

Listed below are some of the things you really have to believe to live comfortably in our current social paradigm from day to day…

I believe . . .

that it’s OK to sit in front of the TV for extended periods of time and/or have it on in the background

that the Government will do and is doing everything they can in the interests of the people

we are alone in the universe and Stephen Hawkin has got his maths wrong

the media – newspapers and TV – will tell us everything we need to know, and everything they say is true

that the pharmaceutical industry is constantly looking for cures and is doing its best to keep and make us well

that mobile phones, microwave ovens and computers are harmless

that the Mayans – and many others - are wrong about 2011-2012 being a time of rebirth

that the Twin Towers and Building 7 came down as a result of impact and fire (no impact actually in the case of Building 7) and not as the result of controlled demolition which takes months to set up

that Bio/Organic food is not really better for you than normal food

that tap water is perfectly healthy (and fluoride is a sensible additive)

that the money for your mortgage was not created out of thin air on a computer screen, so if you have to hand the keys to your house to the bank that makes perfect sense

that wars are a good way of solving problems

that life is all about survival of the fittest

that schools are about educating and developing our children and have nothing to do with preparing people to fit into the system. Anyway, they don’t do the children any harm

that its really important to have a lot of things, preferably the latest, the fastest, the widest or the most fashionable

that there is not enough in the world to go round so some people have to go without

that we are all separate from our fellow men and women

that we’ve got to have a job – preferably well-paid and with good prospects

that growth - economic and financial, but not spiritual – is the name of the game

that it makes sense to have to pay for land – to buy or rent, and for water and energy

that calling something a conspiracy theory has nothing to do with stopping people thinking before they’ve even started

that vaccinations are really good for babies and children – or at least for society at large

that the independent city-states of the Vatican, the City of London and Washington DC are not the religious, financial and military world power centres respectively

that Walt Disney and fairy tales are harmless fun

that popular music is just entertainment and it is cool to be evil

that the occasional terror alert, hurricane exaggeration, and pandemic scare is nothing to do with maintaining a constant background level of fear that makes us accept limitations to freedom

that we are physical beings (having the occasional spiritual experience) - not spiritual beings having a rather non-stop physical experience – so drugs and alcohol don’t affect anything important

and there’s nothing we can do about anything anyway

If there are one or two - or more - which you feel uneasy about, hold onto your hats. It isn’t going to stop there!

Welcome!

Welcome to the 2011-2012 occasional blog with a focus on miscellanea. A place to collect together some things that seem to merit attention on the path to 2012. Things that may help to focus the mind on the future, and things that may help to liberate the mind from the past. Things that may help us to move from fear to love.
